My rate is $200 for a 50 minute session. If you need a sliding scale fee I may be able to offer $175, $150, or $130 depending on availability. If you would like to use your insurance we can discuss that possibility in a consultation call or email.
This depends on your needs and what you want to achieve. For some 4-12 sessions is what they need at this time, for others they find therapy an essential part of their weekly self care.
I work out of my home in the Westgate neighborhood of South Austin, 78745. My office has its own entrance, bathroom, and is removed from the main part of my home. We can also meet online if that is preferred.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based therapeutic approach developed by Peter Levine that focuses on how stress and trauma are held and processed in the nervous system. SE helps individuals gently notice and work with present-moment bodily sensations—such as tension, warmth, breath, or movement impulses—to support the nervous system’s natural capacity to regulate and recover. By tracking these sensations and allowing small, manageable shifts between activation and settling, clients can gradually release patterns of fight, flight, or freeze that may be stuck in the body. The goal is to restore a sense of safety, resilience, and self-regulation, so that difficult experiences can be integrated without overwhelm.
BASE therapy is an integrative, body-based approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes the role of the nervous system, attachment, and present-moment experience in healing. Rather than focusing only on thoughts or narratives, BASE therapy works experientially, helping clients notice internal sensations, emotions, impulses, and relational patterns as they arise in real time. This means we may get off the couch and work with various PT tools, the yoga mat, or a body work table, to help shift uncomfortable energy and emotions. The therapeutic relationship itself is used as a stabilizing and reparative context, supporting regulation, safety, and attunement while exploring how past experiences shape current responses. By working slowly and collaboratively with both bodily and emotional cues, BASE aims to increase self-awareness, resilience, and the capacity to stay connected to oneself and others, especially in the presence of stress or vulnerability.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an integrative therapeutic approach that combines carefully monitored ketamine treatment with psychotherapy to support healing from conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. Ketamine can temporarily shift patterns of consciousness and reduce rigid or habitual thinking, allowing clients to access emotions, memories, and perspectives that may be less available in ordinary states. Psychotherapy before and after ketamine sessions helps prepare clients, provide support during the experience, and integrate insights afterward in a meaningful and grounded way. KAP emphasizes safety, intention, and integration, using both the medication and the therapeutic relationship to promote insight, emotional flexibility, and lasting change. If this is part of your treatment plan, we can partner with a Ketamine Clinic in Austin to provide you with both the medicine and therapy you need for this to be an effective part of your mental health journey.
